Revision as of 12:43, 1 January 2024
A new version of Infinity will be deployed soon. The current users must register on the Infinity mailing lists to receive important announcements. This is especially important for MetaCentrum members.
Register into the mailing list here. If you do not want to use the Infinity anymore, you can uninstall it in MetaCentrum (CERIT-SC) by running the following command:
$ /software/ncbr/infiboot/infinity-activate metavo-remove
On other sites (WOLF, LCC, IVAVIK, SOKAR, ROBOX), the Infinity environment is essentially mandatory, and it should not be deactivated.
Tentative Schedule
This schedule can change. The aim is to deploy the new versions as soon as possible. Due to technical reasons, the previous AMS and ABS versions will not be kept for a long time.
- January 2024
- testing
- February 2024
- deployment on the WOLF cluster
What is new
- Infinity in MetaCentrum will be accessible only for registered users (i.e., in the Infinity user mailing list)
- monolithic module caches per site are split into several caches, so-called module bundles
- users can create their own module bundles
- users can create their own sites
- the Infinity environment is now activated per host group, which simplifies the entire setup
